Trump’s New Pandemic
Despite all his legal and financial troubles Trump remains the runaway front-runner in the Republican primaries. He could also win the general election.
If he does, climate change will be his new Pandemic. From day one he will be dogged by the latest climate crisis de jour, whether it be coastal flooding, heat waves, wildfires, boiling oceans, melting glaciers, or global temperatures climbing ever upwards.
Daily government reports and research by respected scientists will reveal the extent we have dug ourselves into this existential hellhole. Perhaps James Hansen will be his new Anthony Fauci.
Unlike Biden it will be obvious Trump is making the situation worse with promises to bring back coal and his “drill baby drill” demagoguery.
Four years of Trump will set our society back 30 years in our quest to change our gas guzzling ways and cool our increasingly feverish planet. It will be field day for science writers. Stay tuned to see what happens.
