In 2005 I started a project to produce books, films and articles about the beauty and fragility of our coasts.
To date we have helped make four NOVA programs and pieces for ABC, CBS, NBC, NPR, 27 books, and innumerable articles and talks. With this new Substack platform we are expanding our focus to larger environmental issues and how to solve them.
I try to publish “Notes From an Environmentalist” at least daily to cover the day’s most pressing environmental problems, and then post a longer weekly piece.
We are also working with other organizations to save human lives by protecting horseshoe crabs and help people faced with sea level rise on Plum Island and Cape Cod, along with our weekly tours of Plum Island.
