When I first started studying ecology in the Sixties and Seventies the people most concerned about the environment were biologists and atmospheric scientists.
They saw the environmental crisis as a biological problem. There were too many humans having too many babies, driving and consuming too much. Like any other animal population humans has exceeded the carrying capacity of their ecosystem, our planet.
They saw the solution to this biological problem was to limit population, consumerism and over consumption of resources.
Now economists, politicians and technocrats are searching for answers and if they can make a buck on the side so much better.
These folks are the optimists in the debate. They believe we should consider 8 billion people as an accomplishment not a problem and that through technology we can build and consume our way out of the climate crisis. They believe in what the pessimists call the fable of endless growth.
I’m not yet an optimist on climate change and dont really believe we can build our way out of this crisis, but that seems to be the new paradigm so I’m willing to give it a try.
I guess, this is no different when Bill McGuire tweeted “the only realistic way I see emissions falling as fast as they need to, to avoid catastrophic climate breakdown, is the CULLING OF HUMAN POPULATION by a pandemic with a high fatality rate.” So he simply means that he wants to cull humanity to save earth?? climate zealot on steroids..you go first McGuire lol/joke.
WEF’s the Great Reset agenda requires depopulation. They’re not hiding it anymore.
