Fall migration. Most of the egrets that were in the marshes all summer have moved south but are being replaced by egrets from further north.

Adult osprey have flown south leaving their offspring behind, Plaintively calling but they will soon follow. Shorebirds arriving from the north to pause and eat before resuming their migration.
